When you think about Global Peace Initiatives collaboration with Group Cares to implement 1 By Youth™, picture this: a thousand (or more!) teenagers from youth groups in a three state area uniting for one day, in one community to make one impact - total transformation of a neighborhood. They’ll tackle a full square mile of Indianapolis and transform spirit in a neighborhood fraught with abandonment. They will paint houses, provide home repairs, landscaping the whole neighborhood, clean alleys, tend city parks, clean up illegal dumping on vacant lots, serve local school and nursing homes and plant our famous Peace Gardens that grow food to feed the hungry. The impact of one day will serve this neighborhood for years to come.
