Peaceful Grounds Grand Opening Conference featuring Growing Power's "From the Ground Up" Workshop with Mr. Will Allen
Global Peace Initiatives is proud to present their latest initiative, Peaceful Grounds: A Center for Agriculture and Sustainable Living. This community redevelopment project will be the location of the Peaceful Grounds Grand Opening Conference on March 30-April 1, 2012. This conference will feature Growing Power's "From the Ground Up" Workshop with Will Allen and Peaceful Grounds resident artists and experts as workshop leaders.
Join us early for a Friday March 30, 2012 pre-event opportunity that will feature travel and visits to some of Indiana’s finest local farms.
On Friday evening, join our private reception for Mr. Will Allen, as we toast the Grand Opening of Peaceful Grounds and another regional training center for Growing Power.
Saturday March 31 and Sunday April 1, enjoy our intensive workshops that will provide you with hands-on training opportunities, help you know more about urban agriculture, the arts and sustainable living. You will have diverse opportunities to learn, plan, develop, operate, and sustain community food projects. You can work with our resident artists on some of their major initiatives. You can attend workshops with experts in sustainability that will explain how you can live life more in balance. Project participants will leave the workshop with improved skills that they can take back into their communities and pass on to others. The agriculture workshops are for both rural and urban settings.
