On Peace Hike with the Church Within on a Sunday afternoon, this turtle was brought into the forest by an animal control officer. Children outside the park had been playing soccer with the animal, an Eastern Ornate box turtle. We held the turtle in our hands, sending intentional love and healing it’s way. Finally, the turtle emerged from a tightly closed shell. I think you can see a relaxed turtle in this picture. We were very happy to release this turtle to the forest with love.
