The snake in this tree was big by Indiana standards. Approximately five to six feet in length, we watched this big snake slowly slither up the tree and rest on branches high above our heads. We watched and watched and finally left not particularly knowing when the snake would come down and (as we would have liked it...) slither away into the forest. The next day we were suprised to see the snake again, but this time it was coming down! We gathered to watch the snake come down and suddenly the snake, seeing us, turned back around and went farther up the tree.
