Peace Rituals

To truly have peace we seek peace with the earth the original people of this continent and thosGlobal Peace Initiatives is happy to collaborate and participate in a regular Earth ceremony on the near south east side of Indianapolis. The sweat lodge facilitates one of the oldest peace rituals known. The lodge is conducted in the manner taught by Cree elders and teachers of Montana and Saskatchewan. The songs are from the heart and how prayer is offered in the lodge. We are happy to provide information and an invitation to you to also participate with respect in this native sweat lodge and community.

Second Saturday Sweat Lodge

The Lodge is held on the Second Saturday of each month except September.

People of the Lodge Affirm the following:
Our lodge is a place to pray.
We welcome all people.
We conduct the lodge in the manner taught to us by our elders.
We are still learning and always will be.
The Grandmothers have the last word in most matters.

Our lodges are held on the Second Saturday of the month, except in September. We light the fire about 4-5 hours before sunset and go into the lodge about 2-2.5 hours before sunset. We eat together after the lodge.
