On New Year’s Eve Global Peace Initiatives is proud to promote a peaceful alternative for the New Year’s Celebration in Indianapolis. GPI will partner with the School of Metaphysics and The Church Within to culminate the Season of Peace and Universal Hour of Peace.

Peace Hikers should gather at the White River State Park just north of the Dr. Frank P. Lloyd Sr. Visitor's Center. We will depart at 10:45 p.m. and walk along the canal, through the Indiana Government Center, around the Capitol and east on Market to Monument Circle.

By 11:30 the festivities will begin at Monument Circle as we join with many more friends, distribute and read the Universal Peace Covenant. The Universal Peace Covenant was written by teachers and students of the School of Metaphysics. In our city’s sacred Circle, help us create our circle of love and share our intention for peace. Bring a drum and join us in drumming as the turn of the New Year is celebrated.

We know thought is cause.

Our thought for the New Year is peace.

Through this event we know we will manifest tremendous energy for goodwill, unity and peace.
