This is why it is called clifty and falls. There is approximately a 300 foot drop from the cliff and the pool of reflective water cascades a long way down the face of the cliff. On this Peace Hike we walked the whole ridge and creek bottom valley that make up Clifty Falls State Park outside Madison, Indiana. We were amazed to experience 54F weather. We saw deer, wild turkeys, hawk and an earthwork who crawled quickly out of our way. We enjoyed this hike tremendously, stopping often to catch our breath and let the views quickly take our breath away again.
